How We Approach Each Rental
Selesa Ride organises its fleet by journey category rather than maintaining a general pool of interchangeable vehicles. This matters because Sabah's road environment is genuinely varied — the demands of an airport-to-city drive, a highland ascent to 1,500 metres, and a 600-kilometre east coast highway run are meaningfully different.
For each rental, we check the vehicle against a route-specific protocol, prepare documentation in advance, pre-load GPS with relevant destinations, and provide written guidance for highland and east coast routes. During the rental, clients have a direct phone number to our team.
Service 01
Airport Arrival Compact
From RM 140 / day
Ready-to-drive compact vehicles at Kota Kinabalu International Airport. The Perodua Myvi and Proton Saga are cleaned, fuelled, and waiting with paperwork prepared in advance. Our counter is located at the arrivals hall, and key handover typically takes under ten minutes. Ideal for visitors who want to start their Sabah exploration without waiting for shuttles or negotiating taxi fares. Vehicles are equipped with GPS navigation pre-loaded with popular Sabah destinations. Return is accepted at the airport or our city-centre office.

Kundasang & Highland Explorer
From RM 350 / day
Crossover SUVs for the scenic drive from Kota Kinabalu to Kundasang, Ranau, and the Kinabalu Park area. The Proton X50 and Honda HR-V handle the climbing mountain road with composure. Vehicles are prepared for highland conditions — fluid levels, brake pads, and tyre pressure are checked before every highland-bound rental. A Sabah highland driving guide is included, with rest stop recommendations and scenic viewpoint locations. Multi-day rates suit those combining the highland visit with Poring Hot Springs or the Sandakan route.

Service 03
Dive Trip & East Coast Transfer
From RM 520 / trip
Reliable vehicles for the journey from Kota Kinabalu to Sabah's east coast dive destinations — Semporna, Sandakan, and Tawau. These trips typically cover 400–600 kilometres one way, so we provide comfortable sedans and SUVs maintained for long-distance highway travel. The Toyota Vios and Mazda CX-3 offer a balanced combination of comfort and efficiency. One-way rentals with drop-off at Semporna or Sandakan are available. For dive groups, larger vehicles can accommodate dive gear storage. We provide route planning assistance including fuel stops and recommended overnight points.
